After picking up Makka we travelled for 12 hours by car, boat, bus and airplane to get home. But the puppy was not affected, it was all very exciting to her. She was even offered a job as a good luck charm for Braathens (the airplane comp). When she arrived in her new home with two huge Akitas she soon learned how to scear them away. She just cried out, very loud...
As a pup she was given the nickname "Turbo" because she was so full of... The Akitas couldn't follow her pace. The only way to stop her was by laying down on her, but that just made her go crazy.... Today she is much calmer, bur every now and then, the turbo kicks in...
Outside she's friends with
everybody, and she seems to have a preference for large dogs..as Great
Danes and Irish wolfhounds.. She's also gentle to small puppies and lay
down to show them how sweet and kind she is.
Makka's got a great personality and knows how to draw attention to herself. At nov 26th 2000 she won the title Norwegian winner 2000. This was a great surprise to us, and it took a moment and lots of gratulations before we realized it was true. We were very please when Makka, as one of few, was given "Excellent" by a Nippo judge. In Japan they only breed excellent dogs.. And she won 2 honorary prizes at the Japanese breed speciality show for her breeding in june 2003, with excellent critiques from both Marianne Holmli, Norge and Mr Akio Kuroki from Japan.
Makka is a good mother and
has several litters. From the litter to
Innisfree Enterprise, we've kept a red bitch and august 2005 we took home
the dog, Tuk. In the 2005 litter the bitch went to Stig and Wenche, they
had wanted a pup from her since they first met Makka, and finally the
time was right!
And now we got a brand new princess from Makkas final litter. We want to keep Makkas lines since we are so pleased with her breedingskills and temper.

Norwegian winnershow, we took this picture with 3 generations; From
