Best breeding bitch in Norway 2004 & 2005
In 1996 we started looking for a bitch from bloodlines who wasn't to "infected" with the usual defects of the breed. We didn't choose her, she chose us; She was the only pup that came up to our dog, Khan. He was a perfect companion and raised her very well. When Khan was put down, due to allergy, Ima grieved for some time, but found comfort in our new shiba puppy, Makka
Ima is a very social bitch, who just
loves people. She's not too keen on playing with other dogs, but she
tolerates them. She's not so found of shows, but has even so
finished her championship in Norway and Sweden. So we got a great
surprise when we took her out again in veterans class. She now have
more fun than ever in the ring. At her first veteran entry, the
judge held open critiques, and this is how she started for Ima;
"7.5 MONTHS old veteran..." - Ima had just given her
sunglasses a nice wash...
Ima has an interest for blood tracking, but we never did anything serious with it. She also likes agility, even though you wouldn't believe such a heavy dog to be so elegant and such a springy step.
She's had 5 litters, with a total of 21 pups. Her big finale was a litter of 7, born within 4 hours! Not bad for a dog nearly 9 years old. And as always, she was very patient with her puppies. They left home over a long periode of time, the last one moved when she was 3,5 months. And Ima was as much a puppy as they were.
At the
age of 7,5 years, Ima attended her first obedience competition! We
came last, but we had fun, so maybe we will try again....
